Implementing automation in the pharmacy can be a daunting task. There are many different options available and it can be difficult to determine the right choice for your pharmacy. In the end, automation should make your pharmacy more efficient and safer for your patients.
When the development of RIVA was being first considered, Intelligent Hospital Systems turned to rocket science. A group of engineers with a combined experience of over 100 years in the development of rockets and spacecraft were hired by IHS to develop and build RIVA. This group of highly skilled and dedicated engineers brought with them the experience of the aerospace industry and the mindset that there can be no compromise when it comes to safety. This meant creating a system where each stage of the compounding process was carefully analyzed and broken down.
Automation was developed to make that process more reliable and consistent. The requirements of regulatory standards such as USP <797> were analyzed in detail in order to develop systems that provide industry leading performance and compliance in areas such as airflow and consumable sanitization. RIVA system incorporates checks, double checks, even triple checks for each step of the compounding process to ensure that each and every dose produced is accurate and safe.
Choosing RIVA as your Pharmacy automation solution is not rocket science but RIVA’s heritage ensures you will have the safest and most accurate doses available!
