Niels Erik Hansen, M.Sc., Ph.D.
President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Dr. Hansen has more than 30 years’ experience in technology engineering and production, and more than 20 years’ experience leading global businesses in highly-specialized industries including industrial technology and manufacturing, motion control, fluid management and environmental engineering.
Prior to leading IH Systems, Dr. Hansen was co-founder and CEO of Valhalla Management, a management and investment company in Winnipeg. From 1993 to 2003, he served in leadership positions for several technology manufacturing companies including Vansco Electronics in Winnipeg, Sauer-Danfoss, Inc. in Chicago, and Danfoss Fluid Power A/S in Nordborg, Denmark.
Fluent in four languages, Dr. Hansen holds a M.Sc. in mechanical engineering and a Ph.D. in control engineering from Technical University of Denmark, and is a graduate of the Senior Executive Program at London Business School.
Ravee Navaretnam, B. Sc., MBA
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Mr. Navaretnam has more than 20 years’ experience in progressive management and leadership positions with a number of multinational companies, including 10 years in the automotive industry and 5 years at Vansco Electronics LP where he was a senior vice president of manufacturing, quality, purchasing, logistics, IT, and engineering. He holds a MBA from Queens University, a mechanical engineering degree from the University of East London and several other designations including certified professional purchaser and certified in integrated resource management.
Randy Howorth C.H.R.P.
Executive Vice President, Human Resources
Mr. Howorth has more than 20 years’ experience in high tech design and manufacturing companies most recently as the senior vice president, human resources with Vansco Electronics LP. He is a graduate of business administration and telecommunications technology from Red River College and human resources management from the University of Manitoba. Mr. Howorth also holds a certified human resources professional designation from the Canadian Council of Human Resources Associations.
Executive Vice President Quality, Process Improvement & Strategic Planning
Mr. Doherty is a pioneer of Intelligent Hospital Systems (IH Systems) a member of the ARxIUM group of companies in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He has nearly three decades of experience developing medical devices, aerospace applications for aircraft, spacecraft and satellites, and naval command and control systems in a variety of platforms. He is the co-inventor of 12 patents for technologies deployed in RIVA, a fully-automated IV compounding system for pharmacies.
Prior to joining IH Systems, Mr. Doherty worked for nearly 20 years developing technology, software and IT applications with organizations including Bristol Aerospace, Aircraft Engineering and Avionics Group, and Unisys Defense Products Group. A published author and academic research consultant, Mr. Doherty received a diploma in computer science from Red River College and has held advisor positions at University of Toronto and University of Manitoba.
Olivier Martin, M.Sc.
Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Mr. Martin has more than 20 years' experience in business development, sales and operations acquired in Europe and North America in various fields of health care, supply chain and pharmacy automation. He has helped dozens of health care institutions design safer medication management systems through the use of advanced robotic technology and process re-engineering. Prior to joining ARxIUM, he held various business development and senior management positions with McKesson Canada and AmerisourceBergen Canada. Mr. Martin holds a M.Sc. in decision sciences and operations management from the John Molson School of Business in Montreal.
Kathy Goertzen, B. Comm., MAcc, CPA, CA
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Ms. Goertzen has more than 20 years’ experience in accounting and finance, working overseas as well as in North America. Prior to joining ARxIUM, Ms. Goertzen worked with Deloitte, specializing in financial advisory services. She has advised and assisted companies on their M&A activities as well as other strategic initiatives.
Ms. Goertzen has her Bachelor of Commerce and Masters’ of Accountancy from the University of Manitoba, as well as her CPA, CA.
